These musicians will gain an invaluable opportunity to tour Europe in the summer of 2018, playing with the best young jazz musicians from around the world and working with world-class jazz mentors.

We are pleased to announce that US trombonist and composer/arranger Luis Bonilla will return for the 2018 edition, continuing his outstanding work as Artistic Director.

The 2018 edition will run throughout the first half of July 2018 and will be hosted by JM Macedonia. The session will begin with rehearsals in Ohrid, Macedonia, followed by a concert/festival tour of South East Europe which will end with a final concert in Groznjan, Croatia.

You can read about the 2017 European Tour here and watch and listen to the JMJWO here.

Luis Bonilla is a US-Costa Rican trombonist, composer, arranger and educator.

Bonilla's success as a sideman with such greats as McCoy Tyner, Dizzy Gillespie, Lester Bowie, Tom Harrell, Freddie Hubbard, Astrud Gilberto, Willie Colon and Toshiko Akiyoshi attests not only to the skill and variety of Bonilla’s talent, but also to a mind restlessly committed to exploring some of the most complex and demanding music of our time.
